Just like a true heist, the diamond casino heist in GTA online will take a lot of prep work to pull off successfully. You and your team will have options at nearly every stage of the heist to determine how it will all play out, and your choices can drastically change how much, or how little, of that sweet loot you end up walking away with. If you manage to walk away at all.
The perfect diamond casino heist setup and approach in GTA online
Master the setup
You, or at least one of your friends, will need to own an arcade to even get access to this heist, so make sure you have that ready first. Once you do, you can enter your arcade, watch an introductory cut scene and get access to your first mission via the laptop. This is a nice warm up mission where you just go out to the post op depository, steal a truck, and haul it and its cargo back to the arcade.
Having done that, the real setup begins with scoping out the casino. This entire section is optional, but you'll want all the intel you can get for this heist. You start out by finding as few or as many locations you can access the casino through, points of interest in the casino, and points of interest in the vault itself.
There are six access points to the diamond casino you need to photograph. These are the main doors at the front, the side doors to the left and back of the building with keypads, the roof terrace has four more keypad doors, the security tunnel underneath the nearby racetrack, the roof itself has two keypad doors by the helipad, and the sewer tunnel which you enter across the street.
Inside you're snapping pictures of the security guard near the front desk, the keypad to the restricted access doors, a security camera on the ceiling of the main casino floor and on the roof, the valet out front, and the vault blueprints in the manager's office.
Finally you will examine the inside of the vault through various camera feeds on a limited time, so hit all these spots as quick as you can. The first is just looking at feed of the room with the carpet floor, switch to the grey room and find the metal detectors, switch again to see the security office door, find the staff elevator on the right side of the purple casino area, and finally look at the blue door on the left in the hallway.
If you manage to spot all these areas in the setup, you will be able to purchase some useful tools for the heist itself. The casino model will highlight all the access points you found, the door security lets you practice the hacking minigame to break in, and the vault door does the same thing but for breaking into the vault.
How to approach the heist
You have three main choices for how you can approach taking this heist on: aggressive, silent and sneaky, or the big con. Each have their own setup missions, but all have six that are mandatory and seven optional.
You probably already know if aggressive is the approach for you just based on the name. This method is all about blasting your way through the casino guards, blowing the vault door open with explosives, and then fighting off the cops as you make your escape.
The big con is your middle ground between the aggressive and stealthy options, and plays out a lot like you would expect a heist movie to. You start out sneaking in, using disguises and subterfuge to gain access to the vault before you drill your way in, bag as much loot as you can fit in your bags before a timer runs out, and then either sneak or shoot your way to your getaway.
Silent and sneaky is the one that will be the hardest to actually pull off from start to finish, but if you can manage has the highest chance of you getting the maximum payout. Again, you know what you're in for with the title. This approach is all about sneaking in undetected, using silent weapons only when necessary, using a laser to open the vault, and grabbing the cash while never getting spotted by any cameras, staff, or security.
Despite each approach having seven optional missions, completing all of them makes them far more likely to succeed since they open up more opportunities for you to pivot and adapt with during your heist.
Finally, invest in your support crew. Hiring a gunner will upgrade your guns you take during the heist, the driver will leave you faster cars for your getaway, and the hacker increases the timer on hacking minigames. You don't need to hire them all, but choose which make sense for the approach you're going for.
Counting your loot
The highest potential payout for the heist, on your first run, is around $2 million depending on your approach and how many valuables you loot in the vault, but that's before any splits. You at least have to pay lester a cut, then any support team members you hired, and any other perks you bought to use during the heist. Then, of course, you spill cash for all the damage you take while running it out of the casino. Finally, you will decide how much you split between your crew of two to four teammates before the heist itself starts.

The diamond casino heist is the biggest ever to hit GTA online, and requires drawing up meticulous setup plans to walk away with the maximum payout. Here’s a run-down of the setup board for the diamond casino heist in GTA online so you can beat the house.
There are multiple different preparation options for you to choose from at nearly every stage of setup for the diamond casino heist – from when you’re casing the joint to when you’re breaking into the vault.
The first time you successfully run the heist is free. But you’ll have to pay to play thereafter.
GTA online diamond casino heist set up
Setup: arcade equipment
Next head over to your new digs and a cutscene will play and you’ll be able to begin the first set up missions by walking over to the laptop in the empty arcade basement.
Interacting with the laptop launches the first setup mission – arcade equipment – where you track down some initial kit for your hideout.
Make your way to the post op depository and chase down the jacked truck. Take out the drivers and schlep back to your arcade.
On your return another cutscene plays where lester runs through the prospective plan in three parts: scope, prepping, score. He also briefly goes over the three ways that you can play the heist: stealthy, aggressive, or “the big con”.
First on your list is scoping out the casino for opportunities.
Scoping out the casino – scope every entrance and POI
These are all optional objectives that give you more options when you’re infiltrating the casino. Scoping is split into two missions, scope out the casino and scope out the vault contents.
You can scope all of the access points in scoping the casino, but you can only get the first six points of interest. The others are gathered from the separate scout “vault contents” mission.
These are the six access points to the diamond casino :
- Main door – at the front of the casino
- Side doors – take pictures of the keypad doors on the sides of the casino, there’s one on the back and left-hand side
- Roof terrace – four keypad doors, one next to the pool, one down the stairs behind the bar, two around the back jump off the ledge on the left-hand side of the pool and follow the path around
- Security tunnel – in the tunnel under the racetrack at the back of the casino, take a picture of the garage door
- Roof – take a picture of the two keypad doors either side of the helipad
- Sewer tunnel – across the street from the casino is a big storm drain, head down into the sewer here and take a picture of the grate.

To find these you need to move between the different camera views in the time allotted.
- Carpeted room – POI pops as soon as you switch to this view
- Metal detectors – in grey room
- Security office door – doors in the room with the grey stripe running down the middle
- Staff elevator – in the purple diamond casino room, pan to the two elevators on the right
- Blue door – in the corridor with the elevator and blue door, pan to the door on the left
Finding these allows you to buy extras from your set up board, letting you find access points easier, or practise the skills you’ll need on the inside.

Now that you’ve earmarked your possible points of entry, it’s time to choose your approach.
They’re pretty self explanatory: aggressive means you hit the casino hard and violently, silent relies on clandestine stealth, while the big con goes full ocean’s eleven with disguises and subterfuge.
All of the routes require a similar amount of prep, so choose whichever you like the look of most – you can always play the others later.
If you need more detail, here’s a rundown of each.
Aggressive heist approach
If you’re a fan of GTA online’s combat, then this is the approach for you. It involves fighting the casino security all the way through the building and using thermal charges to blow the vault open as well as the locked doors inside.
It has six mandatory set up missions, and seven optional with a further locked objective.
The six which you have to do are:
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find getaway vehicles
- Acquire hacking device
- Acquire vault keycards
- Get thermal charges
- Get vault explosives
The optional missions are:
- Scout patrol routes
- Disrupt duggan shipments
- Acquire security intel
- Get power drills
- Get security passes
- Acquire masks
- Find reinforced armor
The big con approach
In this approach you don a disguise to get inside the casino, then sneak your way to the vault, drill it open, then grab as much as you can carry and fight your way out.
This is probably the most changeable approach, because you can find different entrance disguises and your plan changes quite a lot based on your entry point.
Through optional setup missions you can plan multiple disguises to get you out of the casino as well.
This approach has six mandatory set up missions which are:
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find getaway vehicles
- Find a hacking device
- Acquire vault keycards
- Get your entry disguise
- Get vault drills
There are seven optional set ups, which include:
- Scout patrol routes
- Disrupt duggan shipments
- Acquire security intel
- Get power drills
- Get security passes
- Acquire masks
- Find an exit disguise
Silent and sneaky approach
This is probably the toughest of the three to pull off successfully. It involves sneaking into the building with silenced pistols without getting caught, before drilling open the vault with a laser and avoiding security cameras to ride off into the sunset.
As with the others, there are six setup missions you have to do, with eight optional ones.
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find getaway vehicles
- Acquire a hacking device
- Get vault keycards
- Acquire a nano drone
- Find vault laser
Your optional missions are the same as the big con, except that you can find an infiltration suit and steal an EMP instead of getting an exit disguise.
Once you’ve chosen your approach, it’s time to get to work. Remember you can pay to skip certain missions, but not all of them.
Completing all of the optional set up missions gives you the best chance of success, but is not 100% necessary. Their main purpose is to give you options for when things go sideways during the job – so if you’re unsure of your plan, make up for it by being prepared.
Which support crew should you choose for the diamond casino heist?
Your support crew for the diamond casino heist consists of a gunman, driver, and hacker.
These basically determine the difficulty level of the heist itself.
A better gunman will equip you with better weaponry.
While a better driver will get you better cars once you make a break for it.
Finally, a better hacker will give you more time in the vault without being detected.
Better support crews come at a higher cut of the total take, and some are more worth it than others. For instance, you’ll definitely want as much time in the vault as possible, so picking an expert hacker is an easy choice. But if you’re not planning on being detected, then top tier guns are a waste.
Take into account your overall approach and choose what fits your style.
GTA online diamond casino heist payout rewards
It’s what you’re here for after all. The total potential take in cash for one run of the diamond casino heist is $2,115,000.
However, you won’t get all of that. Lester takes a small cut, then your support crew all take their allotted piece. There are then optional extras you can buy to help take the heat off of you in the getaway.
Then you actually have to steal and make off with all the money. Any damage you take inside the casino also reduces your take as you drop notes. This means that the rough player take can be anywhere from $400,000 to $1,750,000.
According to @tezfunz2 on twitter, who’s a reliable source for GTA and RDR2 online updates, there are four possible random rewards for the heist in the game’s files – each with their own cap. Diamonds however are not yet available.

Last month, rockstar released the diamond casino heist for grand theft auto online. It’s been hailed as the the game’s biggest and most elaborate heist to date. In addition to choosing an approach to the mission, there are several steps that you must take before you’re able to embark, including buying an arcade and hiring a crew. In this GTA online casino heist setup guide, we’ll broadly run down the major parts of the prep stage, including what arcades are available for purchase, how to case the joint, and the three different approach options.
GTA online diamond casino heist – scoping it out
Step one: buy an arcade
To initiate the heist, first find lester in mirror park, which is located in the east vinewood neighborhood. He’ll let you know that in order to get things rolling, you need to buy an arcade property. There are a few different properties to choose from, which can be found on eyefind, the in-game web browser.
- Pixel pete’s– located in paleto bay. Costs $1,235,000.
- Wonderama – located in grapeseed. Costs $1,565,000.
- Videogeddon – located in la mesa. Costs $1,875,000.
- Insert coint – located in rockford hills. Costs $2,345,000.
- Warehouse – located in davis. Costs $2,135,000.
- Eight-bit – located in vinewood. Costs $2,530,000.
Once you’ve made your purchase, head over to your new property to deck it out with new gear.
Step two: get some gear for the arcade
The “arcade equipment” mission tasks you with running down a truck full of equipment. Head on over to the post op depository, locate the truck, and take out the driver. Once you do, take the truck for yourself and return to your new arcade.
Step three: scope the diamond casino
The next step requires you to head to the diamond casino. This step is split into two different missions—one for the points of entry and one for the contents of the casino’s vault. Note that most of these objectives are optional. The first mission asks you to find all the access points into the casino. Here’s where they are:
- The main door – front of the building.
- The side doors – there are security doors on each side of the building; one on the left side and one in the back.
- The roof terrace – there are four doors you need to spot here: one next to the pool, one behind the bar, and two at the end of the path that begins on the ledge below the left side of the pool.
- The security tunnel – underneath the racetrack at the rear of the casino is a tunnel.
- The roof – there are two security doors on either side of the helipad.
- The sewer – there’s a storm drain across the street from the casino. Hop in and snap a pic of the grate inside.
Don’t forget to send lester pictures of all the guards and security cameras you find! Once you’ve taken pictures of all the major entry points and security elements in the casino, it’s time to return to HQ and plan your approach.

The next step is to choose an approach to your mission. There are three options.
Option one: the aggressive approach
This is the choice for you if you like gunplay. Choosing this approach requires you to complete the following objectives:
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find your getaway cars
- Get a hacking device
- Snag some security key cards
- Snag some vault key cards
- Get explosive charges
Option two: the silent and sneaky approach
If stealth is your game, then you’ll want this option. Here are the mandatory objectives for this approach:
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find your getaway cars
- Get a hacking device
- Snag some vault key cards
- Find a nano drone
- Get a laser to break into the vault
Option three: the “big con” approach
This is a full-blown heist movie production, and probably the most ambitious approach for the casino heist. Here’s what you’ll have to do in order to prepare:
- Get unmarked weapons
- Find your getaway cars
- Get a hacking device
- Snag some vault key cards
- Find a disguise
- Get some vault drills
Each approach also includes a number of optional objectives that you can complete in order to get gear that will further assist you in the mission.

Diamond casino heist - the big con approach full setup & execution guide

Having different approaches to the new casino heist is one of the major new features added to GTA online via the DLC. One of the three approaches is called the big con approach (the others being the aggressive and silent and sneaky approaches). As the name suggests, you con your way into and out of the casino using various disguises. Since there are many setup missions and heist prep missions, we will show you the most optimal setup for the big con approach so that you don't have to do all the missions, only the necessary ones, resulting in the most efficient use of your time and the best outcome.
Heist prep missions
First, we will take a look at all the important prep missions you need to do, besides the mandatory prep missions of course. Note that you can do all these heist prep missions either solo or with your friends. However, doing them with at least one friend will make things much faster and easier for you. Having said that, it is not impossible to do the prep missions on your own. You can also do the prep missions in either public or solo sessions.

Support crew
Gunman
You do not need to worry about choosing the best gunman for this approach since you won't be getting into combat situations. It will be a simple "in-and-out" approach. You will be using disguises to make your way in and out and shouldn't need any weapons. Therefore, you can choose KARL ABOLAJI who only takes 5% cut. When you choose the weapons, make sure you choose the micro SMG loadout in case the heist doesn't go as planned. Do not choose the shotgun loadout as it does little to no damage.
Driver
You do not need your driver either, since you won't be using the getaway vehicle for this approach. But hiring a driver is mandatory therefore you can choose KARIM DENZ who only takes 5% cut. For the vehicles, in case you decide to use the getaway cars (which you do not need if you're following this guide) you can choose the sentinel classic getaway vehicles. Also, if you do decide to use the vehicles, makes sure you upgrade them to level 3 in the arcade garage, by sitting in the car and upgrading them.
Hacker
Choosing a hacker is the most important thing in this whole prep. You need to make sure you choose the best hacker in the list since the time you get inside the vault is based on the hacker you choose. Choose either PAIGE HARRIS or AVI SCHWARTZMAN if you've unlocked him. If you want to know how to unlock avi schwartzman you can check our full guide here.
If you choose PAIGE, you will get a total of 3 minutes and 15 seconds in the vault and she takes 9% of the cut. If you choose AVI, you will get an extra 15 seconds giving you a total of 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Trust us when we say this, those 15 seconds are a lot when you're emptying the vault. It really helps!
So we recommend AVI if he's unlocked for you, otherwise, go with PAIGE.
When you go for the hacking device, you can expect two different locations where it will be located. The first one requires you to get it from the N.O.O.S.E headquarters, while the second will have you grabbing it from the FIB building.
N.O.O.S.E headquarters mission
For the N.O.O.S.E headquarters mission, you need to go to a specific location, find the corrupt agent, take him out and take the keycard to the N.O.O.S.E headquarters. After that, head to the headquarters, sneak into the building and find the hacking device using your phone. It is pretty simple, just avoid the sight of the guards and walk silently and you should be good to go.
FIB building mission
If you get a mission where you need to go to the FIB building, you will first have to go kill some agents and get the FIB agent pass so you can impersonate that agent. Kill the agents, lose the cop and head to FIB building. Park your vehicle right in front of the entrance as it will be useful later on when you're exiting.
Enter the building and, as always, avoid the cones of visions of other agents, as staying in them for a long time will cause you to expose your self. Keep walking and go to the elevator. After you reach the requisite floor, take your phone out and find the hacking device using the signal strength bar, the same way you did when in N.O.O.S.E headquarters.
Once you have acquired the hacking device, head back outside the same way you came in from. But note that as soon as you reach the exit, the agents will recognize you and start shooting, so make sure you have some snacks and armor. Quickly exit the building and get into your vehicle which you parked right in front of the entrance earlier (you're welcome), lose the cops and deliver the hacking device back to the arcade.
TIP: one important tip we can give is to make sure you have your car parked right outside the door where you enter. As soon as you leave the building the guards will be alerted and you will have a wanted level, so quickly get out of there and lose the cops. If you have an oppressor mark II, then it's even better as you can simply fly out of the area and lose your wanted level easily.
General prep work
There are only two general prep missions you need to do, the rest you can ignore for the big con approach. You can do the DUGGAN SHIPMENT mission that will make the guards in the finale considerably weaker. However, since we are not planning on getting into any combat situations, this mission is not necessary.
Vault keycards
There can be two types of mission to acquire the vault keycards. One requires you to hijack a prison bus and get the keycard from one of the guards at the prison while you impersonate a prison guard. The second mission is fairly simple, you just need to go to two security guards situated at two different locations, kill them and get the cards. One guard will be drunk on the street while the other will be having "a good time" in a motel room. Just make sure that when you are taking them out, you use a suppressed weapon or kill them using a melee weapon to avoid cops.
Getting the vault keycards is the easiest prep mission. All you need to do is hijack a prisoner bus, head to the prison disguised as a prison guard and infiltrate one of the towers in the prison. Once you head inside the marked tower, you will come across a guard, just take out the guard silently and search his body for the keycards. After you've acquired the keycards, you can leave the prison the same way you came in using the prisoner bus and you are done.
Note that there is a faster way to do it as well, but it is not safe and we do not recommend doing it this way. You can go directly to the prison in your own vehicle and head to the tower to get the keycard. However, as you enter the premises, the guards are alerted and the snipers in the prison are very strong. They will annihilate you. Sometimes even one-shot killing you. So if you're not careful and confident about this approach, it is best to play it safe and head in and get the keycard using the prison bus. This method can also work well if you have an oppressor mark II but nonetheless the snipers are still very dangerous.
Patrol routes
This is an optional general prep mission, but it is one of the most important prep missions, especially for the big con approach. If you complete this mission you will be able to see the enemies or guards on your minimap during the heist. If you don't do it, then the guards will not be visible on your map. It is absolutely necessary that you complete it, so you can easily see where the guards are doing the heist when approaching specific areas in stealth mode.
In this mission you need to find a specific car and take a photo of the contents of the trunk. The mission location is always different, but the cars are always the same, so you can never mistake the car for any other once you've identified it. There are two possible cars you can get - it can either be a gray colored car or a black colored car. You can either sneak your way to the car or just kill all the guards and approach the vehicle - it is completely up to you. Just make sure when you are going in killing everyone, not to accidentally blow up the target car!
You can see for this particular location, there is a black car (circled in green) right next to the gray car (circled in red). So when you arrive at this location it can be either one of these. It is applicable for other locations as well, you will always get either a gray colored car or a black colored car. The best part is that the model of these cars will be the exact same in all the locations, so once you've identified it you'll know exactly what you're looking for during your next run.
Security pass
You need to acquire a level 2 security pass or else you won't be able to do the mission properly. The security pass mission is also one of the most essential optional missions. If you want to do everything the proper way, then you might as well consider acquiring a level 2 security pass as a mandatory mission.
There are two different types of missions you can be given. One requires you to go to a pool party and get the card from the croupier. The other requires you to get it off of a dead valet's body while you impersonate a coroner officer.
Croupier / party method
For the first type of mission you will be instructed to go to a pool party. Once you reach the party, a suspicion bar, at the bottom right corner of your screen, will become visible. It will gradually increase if you become more noticeable and attract attention, however, you need to blend in and make sure it doesn't rise. You can do different activities such as drinking and dancing to keep the suspicion bar low. Once lester has identified the target, you need to find and search for the keycard on them. They will be passed out and once you search for the keycard you'll discover it's not actually on them. However, it should be laying around somewhere in the area. You need to search for the keycard around the area.
TIP: your suspicion will still increase slightly, but the best way to keep it low is to go to your interaction menu and keep your action to dance, and turn it on permanently. This way you can walk around and search for the card while making sure the suspicion bar is not increasing.
Coroner method
If you get a coroner mission, then you will need to go to the church and steal a hearse. Once you do so the cops will instantly be on you. Once you lose them, head to the coroner's office. You will automatically equip the coroner officer's clothes. Enter the office and proceed to the morgue. Avoid the cops' cones of visions inside the office as much as you can. Once you reach the morgue, search valet's body and get the keycard. Just ensure that no one is watching you while you do so. After that head back the same way you came in, while avoiding the cops. Leave the area to successfully complete the prep mission.
Approach specific prep
Entry disguise
This is important, for entry disguise make sure you choose 'gruppe sechs gear'. When you choose this gear there will be two missions to perform to get the full gear. They will be called part 1 and part 2. In the first part you need to get the gruppe sechs van. When you get to the location of the van it will be locked. You need to take out the mechanic and guards around the van and one of the mechanics will have the key to the van. Search the marked body for the key and get the van. You need to lose the cops after that and get the van back to the arcade.
In the second mission, or part 2, of the gruppe sechs gear you need to go to ginger street. There will be a specific gruppe sechs stockade amongst many others. Take a picture of the license plate of that stockade and then grab the outfits in there and deliver them back to the arcade. Note that the area will be surrounded by guards, so you can do this mission either sneaking, or you can go in guns blazing. It is entirely up to you. There will be two outfits, so as stated earlier, if you have a friend with you, you can complete this mission in one run. But if you are doing this solo, you will need to come back and grab the other outfit.
TIP for part 1: we know that losing cops in the van is difficult so here's a tip for you. Get the van and drive it to the arcade garage. It obviously won't go inside since the cops are on you. But just leave it there and exit the van, then call in your personal vehicle or get any other pedestrian car. After you have the new car just lose the cops and then come back to the van and complete your mission. If you have an oppressor mark II, it makes it even easier, just call it in and get on it. Lose the cops and come back to the arcade to finish the mission.
General TIP: some people are not able to see the 'gruppe sechs gear' option under the entry disguise option on the prep board. In order for that option to appear you need to scope the security tunnel garage door during the casino scope out heist prep mission. The tunnel is to the right of the casino right beside the race track. This sewer tunnel grate is one of the many access points which you can scope out before the heist. Vault drills
This one is a pretty straight forward mission. You simply need to go to the marked location and get the vault drills. You'll face some resistance from cops because the vaults drills are in the possession of some criminals who they happen to be taking on too. You need to take them all out (the cops and the criminals) and get the drills. There will be two drills, so having a friend is recommended. But if you're doing it solo, you can go and get the other drill after dropping the first one off at the arcade.
Exit disguise
This is very important as well. You need to steal the NOOSE outfit if you want to exit the casino without any one noticing or attacking you. Head to the police station and get the NOOSE outfits. There will be two since you'll be carrying out the heist finale with a minimum of two players. You'll also receive a 4 star wanted level once you enter the restricted part of the police station, so be quick about it. Get the outfit and quickly head out, lose the cops and return to the arcade with your NOOSE outfit. You can return back and get the other one as well (or if you're doing it with a friend just do it in one run).

After you're done with all the heist preparation, it is time to carry out the heist. Before we begin with the heist, let's go over the final preparation board.
Entrance: for entrance you need to choose the SECURITY TUNNEL.
Entry disguise: your entrance disguise will be GRUPPE SECHS.
Exit: you need to choose the STAFF LOBBY as your exit.
Exit disguise: make sure you choose the NOOSE outfit as your exit disguise.
Buyer: choosing the buyer is completely up to you. However, for better profit, it is recommended that you chose a 'high level' buyer.
Clean vehicle: you do not need to buy this.
Gunman decoy: you do not need to buy this.
The big con heist
Now that everything is set and ready, let's move to the heist finale.
First, get into the gruppe sechs stockade with your friend and head to the casino as instructed by the game. Then head over to the security tunnel and enter the garage door. Drive ahead and you'll come across the security check point. After a couple of seconds, you'll proceed through and need to park the van in the marked spot.
After you've parked your van, it's best to just take the elevator all the way down to the basement. Once you've reached the basement, make sure you do not have any weapons in your hands. So holster your weapon and casually walk towards the vault, passing through the security room. You will come across two keypads which need to be activated by you and your friend simultaneously. Communication between you two is very important. After you activate the keypads at the same time, enter the mantrap leading towards the vault.
Once you reach the vault, the guard will open it up, after which you must knock him out. This also signals the beginning of the actual robbery. If you chose PAIGE then you will have 3 minutes and 15 seconds. But if you chose AVI then you will have 3 minutes and 30 seconds to rob the vault. It is absolutely essential that you leave the vault before the timer runs out or else you'll need to fight your way out and the whole 'big con' approach will basically fail. It's good practice is to leave the vault when the timer hits the 30-40 seconds mark. This is much safer.
When you come across the fingerprint scanners, a good tip to know is that all the scanners will have the same fingerprint pattern. So if you've hacked one then make sure you remember the pattern on the first one, as all the other ones in the vault will have the same pattern. Trust us, this will really make your robbing process much faster. You can take a picture of the pattern on your real-lift phone the first time and then use it to quickly hack the next scanners.
When the timer reaches the 30-40 seconds mark, just leave the vault and head towards the mantrap. Once again, you and your friend need to swipe the cards at the same time. After that just head straight into the security room where you came from and back outside. DO NOT take the elevator. Instead, swipe your keycard on the staircase door and head through the staircase all the way up to the staff lobby area.
By the time you reach the top all the guards will be alerted and they will be looking for you. Once you are at the top, do not go through the door just yet. A guard will come by the door and then he will return back to the left hand side of the door. As soon as he goes back towards the left side, you and your friend must rush in stealth position through this door and straight through the door to the right. Once you go through this door, again wait here as there will be another guard passing by, as soon as he passes the door and moves to the right, you need to go through the door and take the guard out silently.
Once you've taken the guard out silently, turn around and go down the hallway. Here another guard will be patrolling, wait for him to turn back around, as soon as he turns back around, go to the room where your NOOSE outfits are. You will be able to see the clothes icon on your minimap. It will be the third door down the hallway. The other NOOSE outfit will be in the room next to this one, and your friend can get it from there. Once you have the outfits, exit out of the building through the STAFF LOBBY exit door. No guard will attack you now.
Heist mechanic updates
Since the time this guide was originally published there has been a small tweak where the route which you would usually take is now blocked. The exact location of the blockade is at the door which you take to your right after reaching the top of the stairs after exiting the basement. A straightforward workaround is to wait for the guard to come by, immediately leave the staircase section, and take the guard out silently.
Usually, we would wait for this guard to walk back the way he came from and then proceed to walk towards the door to the right. But now the door is blocked by a cleaning stand. After taking out the guard, just walk around the elevator and to the door on the right side. Be careful of the camera, which is on the other side. Hug the wall and stay clear of the cone of visions of these security cams.
Go through the door and this time, you will be able to head towards the corridor, which leads to the staff lobby. Before heading out stay clear of the door as it has a small glass window, and the guards can see you through it. There will be a guard coming towards you, and it is the same guard who you take out after going through the door in the original route.
Wait for the guard to turn around, quickly go ahead and silently take him out before he reaches the turn at the end of the corridor. If you miss, then head back inside and wait for the guard to come back.
Now, wait around the corner until the second guard turns around and rush towards the laundry room to get your N.O.O.S.E outfits. After this, you can proceed as normal.
The original route is still sometimes doable, but you should expect this updated route the majority of the time.
Once you've exited the casino through staff lobby, there's a couple of other new changes outside as well.
You will now find another N.O.O.S.E van at the end of the right side of the race track with two N.O.O.S.E agents. Not only that, but there will be a number of agents all across the race track. It shouldn't be an issue for you since you will be wearing the N.O.O.S.E outfit, but they will catch on to you as soon as you reach the lower end of the right side of the race track. So, be quick about it!
This is an important change for those who do not have N.O.O.S.E outfits as their exit disguise. In case you have something different, just hug the railing to the right side of the race track and keep running towards the end. Doing this, for some reason, renders you undetectable by the cones of vision of these N.O.O.S.E agents. After exiting the casino premises, proceed as normal.
Once you're outside, quickly rush to the race track course from the staff lobby exit and stay on the right hand side of the track. Keep running until you come across a small descent to the right (at the end of the right side). After that jump over the fence and head outside. Please note that once you're outside the casino premises, the cops will recognize you and you'll have a 5 star wanted level, so be quick about this! Once you've jumped over the fence, quickly grab any pedestrian car and head into the sewer tunnel which is right beside the road.
Once inside the tunnel keep driving until you're roughly in the middle of it and wait for your wanted level to go away. Once the wanted level is gone, keep driving until you come out of the other end and continue to drive to your buyer.
IMPORTANT: do not get close to the casino after you've lost the cops. If you get close enough to the casino area after losing the cops, you will again receive a 5 star wanted level. So take a detour and a different route to the buyer, rather than going through the highway next to the casino.
Now just go to your buyer and after reaching them, you have successfully completed your casino heist!
Frequently asked questions
Do you need to buy the penthouse to carry out the diamond casino heist?
No, you do not need the penthouse to carry out the casino heist, however some points of interest require you to have a VIP membership in order to access them, such as the vault blueprint in agatha baker's office.
If you take a picture of the blueprints then you will have a prototype in your crcade basement to practice drilling on. Getting this blueprint is completely optional and it will not affect the casino heist experience.
Is there an easier way to get the NOOSE outfit?
A possibly easier method would be to enter directly through the roof. Alternatively, you may enter from the front entrance and then exit through the roof.
What is the difference between the level 1 and level 2 security passes?
Level 1 is actually useless. In addition, level 2 cards allow you to enter through all the doors without the need to hack them. With level 1, you will need to hack doors to get through them. It makes your heist much easier especially if you are doing silent & sneaky approach.
Do you select the security pass mission or trigger it?
It is on the heist prep board at the bottom right corner where it says "security pass". Underneath that, you can switch to either the level 1 pass mission or level two pass mission. When you start the mission read the prompt that will pop up asking for a confirmation to start the mission for a level 2 security pass.
How can I search for the croupier?
Once you head into the party, wait for lester to send you a picture of the croupier. Check the picture in your phone's messages and then look for an identical person in the party. The croupier will likely be on the ground extremely drunk. So try to look for passed out people on the ground. As you get closer to the croupier, he/she will be identified (you will see an arrow on top of them) and you will get the option to search. After that, if the card is not on them, you need to search for it in the surronding area. Initially it will not be marked with an arrow so just look for a highlighted/glowing object. Once you get closer to it, you will identify it and just grab it.
How do you unlock gruppe sechs gear parts 1 & 2?
